Which prop firm actually fits how you trade?

Six questions about your market, budget, and the drawdown rule you can live with. One ranked shortlist of vetted firms — scored by math, not by marketing budget.

31 vetted firms in. One ranked shortlist out — scored on verified pricing and rules, never on who pays the bigger commission. The firms that failed vetting are named and shamed elsewhere.

What actually gets scored

Three of your answers are hard filters: the market you trade, your account size, and whether a firm will take US clients. A firm either clears all three or it never appears — no “technically available if you use a VPN” entries. The remaining answers are scored against each firm’s verified numbers: the cheapest real entry cost at your account size (evaluation plus activation, because activation fees are where the surprises hide), the drawdown mechanics, time to first payout, and maximum profit split. What comes out is a match percentage — and if cost outranks fit for you, one tap re-sorts the whole list by lowest entry price.

The firm pool itself is borrowed muscle: every entry passed the vetting process behind the True Cost project at TrailingStopLoss.com — payout proof, verifiable funding history, and zero exit-scam fingerprints. The 17 firms that failed are documented on the firms-to-avoid list, because knowing who not to wire money to is half the job. Prefer browsing to answering questions? The full vetted firms list lays out all 31 side by side.

Prop firm quiz FAQ

Is the prop firm quiz free?

Completely. No signup, no email wall, no “unlock your results” upsell. Answer six questions, get a ranked shortlist. Some result links are affiliate links — they're labeled, and they never influence the score.

Do partner firms rank higher?

No. Partner firms run through exactly the same scoring algorithm as everyone else — entry cost, drawdown mechanics, payout speed, and profit split, weighted by your answers. The “Partner” badge exists so you always know which links pay us; the ranking math never looks at it.

Which markets does the quiz cover?

Futures (CME products like NQ and ES), forex and metals, crypto perpetuals, and stocks — both real-equity and CFD programs. Firms are matched and scored within the single market you pick, because a firm that's great for forex can be mediocre for futures.

Where does the firm data come from?

Pricing, drawdown rules, payout terms, and US availability are verified against each firm's official site and the True Cost research database at TrailingStopLoss.com. Every result card shows its own verification date. Prop firms change terms constantly — always confirm on the firm's site before paying.

Is this financial advice?

No. The quiz compares publicly available pricing, rules, and payout terms for educational purposes only. Funded trading carries substantial risk, and an evaluation fee is money spent whether or not you pass.
